It has been noted that 30% of businesses are owned by women mainly at micro and small scale, but receive less than 1% of large corporate and government spend, not in Zimbabwe but globally. The Women Owned Business Idea aims to empower women entrepreneurs, support their access to markets and facilitate opportunities for growth and scaling so they can play a stronger role in the Zimbabwean economy. There are more women owned businesses starting up than male owned. It is the largest area of business growth globally and supporting their growth strengthens the Economy.
